Who am I

Escape, migration, and the search for one's own identity. This is how the thematic world of the painter Felix Nussbaum can be described. A contribution to the exhibition "Nussbaum anders sehen" shows touching self-portraits of young Osnabrückers in reference to Nussbaum's self-portraits. They show a variety of self-conceptions of young people with individual stories of flight and migration. They were born in Syria, Sudan, Egypt, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. Hopefully they have found a new home in Osnabrück.
The project is supervised by museum guide Laura Hartmann and is supported by the Islamic theologian Du'A Zeitun, founder of the Muslim youth community Osnabrück (Muos). The photos of the photographer Maan Mousli can currently be viewed in the lounge of MQ4.
